The Kwara State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) led by the Project Social Safeguard Officer, Mrs. Folake Iseyemi today visited newly constructed Solar Powered Borehole Water site in Bode-Saadu Livestock Market in Moro Local Government Area of Kwara State for an On-the-spot-assessment of the project in the market . The team also held stakeholders meeting with the market executive and Fulani Community with a view to identify any social or environmental issues that may negatively affect the sustainability of the project in the area. Kwara L-PRES Project Holds November State Technical Committee Meeting in Ilorin

In discharging its critical responsibilities by providing technical backstopping to the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) for the State Coordination Office towards ensuring smooth implementation of its programmes and activities as approved in the Annual Work Plan and Budget. The  Kwara State Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Oloruntoyosi Thomas has highlighted the distribution of assorted farm inputs to crop farmers, construction and rehabilitation of livestock facilities across the State as some of the major breakthroughs in the agricultural sector of the State. Mrs. Thomas gave this hint at the State inter-ministerial press briefing, conducted by the State Ministry of Communications, held at the conference room of the Ministry of Finance headquarters in Ilorin. The Commissioner, while rolling out the present administration's achievements in the sector said most of the interventions were given to the real and verifiable farmers in the state. The National Coordination Office, Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) Abuja has sympathised with the Borno State L-PRES Project team and the entire people of the state over the recent flooding incident that resulted to loss of lives, businesses and properties in the state. The message was contained in press statement from the National Coordination Office (NCO) Abuja.
