Kwara L-PRES Project Holds November State Technical Committee Meeting in Ilorin

In discharging its critical responsibilities by providing technical backstopping to the Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project (L-PRES) for the State Coordination Office towards ensuring smooth implementation of its programmes and activities as approved in the Annual Work Plan and Budget.

The Kwara State L-PRES Project held its November State Technical Committee Meeting under the Chairmanship of the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, Mrs. Funke Sokoya in Ilorin, Kwara State Capital.

The monthly meeting was well attended by the members of the committee which includes; the Director Veterinary Services, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), Director Agric Services MARD, Director of Animal Husbandry Services MARD, Director of Agricultural Engineering Services MARD, Director of Fisheries Services MARD, others are; Representative of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Technology, Representative of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Representative of the Ministry of Environment, Representative of the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Dev., Representative of the Ministry of Water Resources, Representative of the Kwara State Geographical Information Services (KW-GIS) and the State Project Coordinator, Mr. Olusoji Oyawoye.

The meeting was aligned with the Project Implementation Manual (PIM) that gives the STC some responsibilities in ensuring that project implementation is carried out in a way that is consistent with the Annual Work Plan and Budget (AWPB), monitoring the progress of the activities implementing and properly guided the State Steering Committee on AWPB.

The Committee Chairperson, Mrs. Funke Sokoya appealed to the members to continue given their undiluted support for the success of the project in the State.

Major highlights of the meeting is the presentation by the State Project Coordinator, Mr. Olusoji Oyawoye on the status of the activities of the approved AWPB and contributions from the members.
