Kwara L-PRES, NAAHHT Pledges Stronger Collaboration to Boost Livestock Service Delivery

The Kwara State Livestock Productivity and Resilience Support Project [L-PRES] and the Kwara State Chapter of the Nigerian Association of Animal Health and Husbandry Technologists [NAAHHT] have pledged to strengthen collaboration to enhance livestock service delivery and productivity in the state.

This was the outcome of a courtesy visit by the leadership of NAAHHT Kwara State to the Kwara L-PRES Coordination Office in Ilorin on Friday.

Speaking during the visit, the Kwara L-PRES State Project Coordinator, Mr. Olusoji Oyawoye, commended NAAHHT for its critical role in animal health, disease control, and extension service delivery at the grassroots.
He assured the association of the project’s commitment to work closely with professional bodies to ensure the success of L-PRES interventions across the state.

In his remarks, the Kwara State Chairman of NAAHHT, *Mr. Bashiru B. Atoyebi*, said the visit was to identify with the project and explore areas of partnership that will directly benefit livestock farmers and Animal Health Technologists in Kwara.

He noted that NAAHHT members are key frontline actors in the livestock value chain and are ready to support L-PRES in achieving its Project Development Objective [PDO].

Also present at the meeting were the NAAHHT Vice Chairman, Pst. Kunle Oyedepo, and the State Secretary, Mr. Olasupo Akande.

The visit reinforces Kwara L-PRES openness to strategic partnerships that will improve animal health services, strengthen veterinary extension, and boost the commercialization of livestock in Kwara State.
